Designing for Tomorrow: Innovation and Equity in Global Interaction Design
The 2024 conference theme, ‘Designing for Tomorrow: Innovation and Equity in Global Interaction Design,’ steers us into the future of human-computer interaction, emphasizing the essential fusion of groundbreaking innovation with a strong commitment to equity. This forward-thinking theme challenges us to envision how the next wave of digital advancements can foster inclusivity and accessibility across different cultures and communities worldwide. It calls for a thoughtful exploration of how technological progress in interaction design can be harmoniously aligned with ethical, sustainable, and culturally diverse practices. By focusing on ‘Designing for Tomorrow,’ we invite a broad spectrum of research that not only pushes the boundaries of technological innovation but also deeply considers its global impact, ensuring that the future of digital interaction is shaped for, and by, a diverse global population.
We invite submissions of previously unpublished work on the following themes of interest (but not limited to):
• Global Trends in Innovation and Design
• Equity in Design
• Cultural Sensitivity in Design
• Design for Environmental Sustainability
• Ethical Implications of Interaction Design
• Designing for Accessibility
• Education and Training in Design
• Collaboration and Partnerships
• Future-Proofing Design Solutions
• Case Studies and Success Stories
We invite paper submissions to a number of categories:
